Coleman is an American outdoor brand with a reputation for hardwearing, indestructible outdoor equipment for over a century. In Europe it is best known for its rugged liquid fuel and gas stoves etc. The business traces its history back to 1901, when the extremely enterprising W. C. Coleman began supplying the farmers of Alabama with fuel for their lamps. He soon began producing lanterns himself and sold them all over America. A hundred years later this one-man business has become an international group manufacturing and selling an extensive range of outdoor equipment around the globe. As a tribute to the company's roots, the Coleman brand still has a lamp in its logo to this day.
